"Nipple" - Cait Collins, 2002
Ironically & sadly, Cait died of breast cancer on February 26, 2005.
She was, in the words of Dave Dembinski, "Magnificent."
Editor, beat poet, publisher, photographer and committed human being, when I asked Cait to send me an image of a - presumably her - nipple for an online art homage, she sent this. Cait had a fascination with photographing dolls, so I suspect this is a doll-nip and not her nip at all.
Cait was a broad to be reckoned with: fearless, foul-mouthed, funny.
Dave Dembinski recorded a hymn in Cait's honor. Listening to Dave sing this morning, I cried like a hungry infant. There will remain a famished soul spot Cait used to feed.
