MSNBC on Jesus & Easter

In his online piece, "From Jesus to Christ," MSNBC's Jon Meacham quotes BU professor Paula Fredriksen as having written that the Messiah of the Old Testament would be, ". . . Someone in whom are combined the traits of courage, piety, military prowess, justice, wisdom and knowledge of the Torah. The Prince of Peace must first be a man of war: his duty is to inflict final defeat on the forces of evil."
