Silence + Torture = Complicity

It's simple mathematics.

World Can't Wait published a full-page ad in the New York Times. The pdf of the ad is included as an enclosure to this post and should come through at least to iTunes subscribers.

Take out an ad in your local paper. 'Just folks' like you and me can take out advertisements. We need to do this more.

Furthermore, check this out: according to law, citizens can and have initiated impeachment proceedings. From the DIY Impeach for Peace website:

"Before the House Judiciary Committee can put together the Articles of Impeachment, someone must initiate the impeachment procedure. Most often, this occurs when members of the House pass a resolution. Another method outlined in the manual, however, is for individual citizens to submit a memorial for impeachment."

Here's a little more simple mathematics for you:

Democrats = Republicans

Elect folks who live outside the Democrat/Republican box in order to effect real change.
