A large part of my creative life these last years has involved in meditations upon the media.

Vlogland has inspired me to again take action in that direction. Toward that end, here's a recording of a phone call sort of from NRC Chairman Tom Rove asking me to become an honorary chairman of something-or-other whereby I could actually give advice to Congress and attend a black-tie dinner with the President. They offered to put my name in a full-page Wall Street Journal ad, send me a full-sized wooden gavel, and a picture of our Commander-in-Chief. All for $500. Would that I were not broke!
