Vlogging originates in the microcosm and extends to the macrocosm. It is reality entertainment uncorrupted by advertisers and the consequent need to appeal to base human instinct to attract & hold an audience. Which is not to say that the most base human issues are not addressed in the vlogosphere. It's just that here, you don't get the sense that you're being manipulated or exploited.
