Faux Press Vlog :: Bridges :: Tone Poem
The bridges we build in this tiny world make a difference, even digital bridges; something the vlogosphere builds admirably well.
Music by Tord Gustavsen Trio, a jazz band I heard at Blues Alley while in D.C. The Trio is touring with a new and fabulous album.
Quicktime version.

ReplyDeleteGood idea, well executed. Got me thinkin'.
ReplyDeleteI love bridges. When I first got into photography I was on a bridge kick for a while. Atlanta doesn't have any beautiful bridges so most of my favorites were in the mid west crossing the big wide rivers like the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Love the poetry here as well. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your comments, fellow vloggers. Bridges, as metephor for connection and how we work around nature to feed our need for speed. Imagine most bridges were built to facilitate commerce, but in my imagination, the first bridge was built to get to a neighbor's house for dinner.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the support girders at high speed - the way they move.
ReplyDeleteHave lately written to Mr. Gustavsen for permission to use his song in the video. Keep your fingers crossed, friends.
