Faux Press Podcast No. 2 - Cait

Spent the day - having washed down the morning vitamins with saki - remembering the poet Cait Collins.

The literary journal of which she was publisher and editor (The Hold) will remain online indefinitely. Contributors discuss means by which it might continue on Cait's message board.

Cait considered the folks she published to be the new beats.

Yeah.

The Hold.

Wholly representative of Cait's aesthetic, bawdy wit and perseverance, The Hold is an amazing archive of a generation of Internet-saavy artists who found a home in her hard drive.

Cait once mailed me a few of her pubic hairs and a lump of dirt from Charles Bukowski's grave.

That was Cait.

For sure she's up there knockin' one back with Buk now.

Here's mud in both their eyes.
