While you can't read an entire work on-line, you can search content, find books relative to your search terms, read a "fair use" selection, then navigate to an on-line bookstore.

Any publisher may have their catalog scanned and listed - FREE.

More than that, revenue from Google ads related to book content is shared with publishers.

Damn. Gotta love Google!
