For years I've been placing ads in various magazines, and not just personal ads, either. In part because I wanted to support the magazines that support the arts. In part, because I could - because my canvas sometimes needs to be the printed page.

This ad was in 11211 Magazine.

One purchases paints, tools, office supplies, advertising for commercial endeavors; of course one would buy ads for art.
